Education

We offer a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science and one in Communications Systems. We also offer four Master’s programs in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Communications Systems, and Data Science.

We have 51 faculty members (6 jointly affiliated with other EPFL schools), over 295 PhD students, and over 1300 undergraduate and masters students. Our bachelors program in Computer science and in Communications both share a common core of required courses. The 25% of courses outside this core provide a programming orientation to Computer science and a mathematical orientation to Communications. In order to give our students the best conditions for familiarizing them with working life, we offer a very attractive internship program that enables them to choose among many companies and universities worldwide.

These diverse benefits provide our students the opportunity to find interesting and competitive jobs upon completion of their studies. Companies such as Facebook, Google or Microsoft recruit directly on campus. Computer Science and Communication Sciences comprise of diverse research areas. At IC, our research program reflects this diversity and is funded through public and private sources, including the Swiss Confederation, the European Union, private foundations and industrial partners.
